Nominations Are Open August 22 – September 12, 2023

The Annual Fairview & District Chamber Business Awards is a valuable opportunity to recognize and celebrate all our hardworking local businesses/individuals who give so generously to our communities and provide services we dearly love and need. Help us shine a light on local businesses/individuals that have shown exceptional business practices, leadership, and community mindedness by nominating a special business or individual today!

All businesses within the district of the Town of Fairview, M.D. of Fairview #136, Village of Hines Creek and Clear Hills County are eligible to be nominated. You are entitled to nominate any business including your own and are encouraged to nominate yourself as you know your business/individual contributions better than anyone. Everyone is welcome to nominate multiple businesses or nominate a business in more than one category.

Nominations are open to the public from August 22 – September 12, 2023 (3 weeks). This is where we ask you (the experts), to let us know who the exceptional businesses, organizations & individuals are in our community.

Nominees will be announced once they have been contacted and have accepted nomination. Finalists in each category will be announced on September 29, 2023. Winners will be announced at our Annual Business Awards on Friday October 20, 2023.

Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be a valid entry, businesses must:
* Be in operation at the time of the awards.
* Not have previously won in the same category in the past 2 years.
* Businesses do not need to be a Chamber member to be nominated or to win, but Chamber members do receive 2 extra points during the scoring process.
* Chamber staff nor Borad of Director participate on the judging panel, allowing all nominations to stand.

Nominee & Judging Process

Apon nomination all nominees will be contacted by the Fairview & District Chamber and asked if they would like to accept the nomination. * Please note the Chamber staff reserves the right to reallocate nominees into the appropriate Award Category if the nomination is determined to be ineligible in the category submitted.

If the Nominee Accepts:

• On September 15th, nominee’s will be emailed an online Nominee Questionnaire to fill out.
• If a business is nominated in multiple categories, the business must choose a maximum of 2 categories to compete in.
• To be considered as a potential finalist the Nominee Questionnaire must be submitted to the Chamber Office by 12 PM on September 22nd.
• Details included in these questionnaire will be used by the volunteer judging panel to score and determine finalists and ultimately the winners in each category.
• Finalists will be announced on Friday September 29th.
• Winners will be annouced live on Friday October 20th at our 2023 Business Awards @ the Dunvegan Inn & Suites.

The volunteer judging panel (Anonymous) is comprised of a diverse and impartial group of respected community members, business leaders (both inside and outside of our community), past Chamber Board members & previous Award Winners. * Please note Chamber staff nor current Chamber Board of Directors are involved in nominee judging. This allows for all Business Nominations to stand.

For the second year in a row we have a Peoples Chamber Choice Award Category! Live voting will launch following nomination closing date.

* All Chamber Member Businesses nominated in any award category will be included in the People’s Chamber Choice Award. The award will be presented to the Chamber Member business that demonstrates they have engaged the loyal support of their community with public votes. As the only Business Award determined soley by a public vote, this Chamber Business must prove that their community thinks they go above & beyond and are awesome!!!
