Recreation, Culture & Tourism
The Fairview Regional Aquatic Centre is a five lane, 25-metre lap pool and a zero-depth wading pool. The pools have multiple water features including river jets and fountain canes. The facility also has a 150-foot water slide – the biggest in the Peace Country, a Tarzan rope, Skywalker hanging monkey bar climber, rock climbing wall and a 20 person hot tub with wheelchair access ramp.
The centre offers many levels of aquatic programs; from adult lane swim, to swim lessons for ages 3 months and up, to seniors aqua-size classes.
The Fairview Curling Club has been a fixture in the community for over 80 years. We are part of the Alberta Curling Federation, and the Canada Curling Association. That means our curlers have the chance to compete in club events, regionals, and even at the Brier or Scotties!
Our Mission Statement
“The Fairview Curling Club is a community orientated facility committed to promoting and providing recreational opportunities for all people in and around the community. Through sport we welcome all ages and skill levels in a fun filled, social, family environment where lifelong friendships are created.”
The Fairview Fairplex Arena is home to the WJHL Fairview Flyers, Fairview Minor Hockey Teams, and the Fairview Silver Blades Skating Program. Available as well is family and public open skating hours.
Located directly south of the Arena is an outdoor ice surface which is perfect for a casual pick-up game of shinny, or an afternoon skate with the family (and hot chocolate!). The outdoor ice area is available to anyone, at any time – as such, the surface is not available for booking.

To promote people, places and experiences across Alberta’s Peace Region to all visitors.
To inspire visitor exploration across Alberta’s Peace Region by being a destination of choice.
Since 1963, the Mighty Peace Tourist Association has been responsible for marketing and promoting tourism in the Mighty
Peace Region. “Build it and they will come,” is not a saying that works in tourism. In order to increase our regional tourism,
visitors need to be exposed to a variety of our hidden gems and activities in the region. Through regional marketing we can
excite, tempt and entice people to see what we all have to offer!
