Celebrate excellence in small business and customer service in Fairview.  Nomination forms can be found here . Forms can also be picked up at  Freson Brothers, Boyt Department Store, Fairview Rexall Pharma Plus and Mad Dog Cresting starting Wednesday May 30th 2018.

All businesses within the Town of Fairview, M.D. of Fairview #136, Village of Hines Creek and County of Clear Hills are eligible for nomination. The business must be operating at the time of nomination and at the time of award presentation.

Award presentation will be held at our Small Business Week Awards Banquet Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Dunvegan Inn & Suites where everyone is invited to come!!!!

Day 1 10/13 Calgary/Beijing
Check in at Calgary International Airport for an afternoon flight HU7978 by 3:05 pm to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.

Day 2 10/14 Beijing
(JW Marriott Hotel Beijing/5 star, 83 Jian Guo Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing China, Tel: 0086-10-59086688)
Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 5:10 pm. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel after dinner.

Day 3 10/15 Beijing
Photo stop at the 2008 Beijing Olympic venues for the outside views of National Stadium the Bird’s Nest and the National Aquatic Center. Continue the tour to the Great Wall. En route visit the Jade Factory. The Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Visit one of the Ming tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors’ Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Peking Roast duck dinner is arranged.

Day 4 10/16 Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms. The Summer Palace, known for the Long Corridor with a painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat. Visit the Pearl Factory.

Day 5 10/17 Beijing
Morning sightseeing to the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest. Afternoon visit to the Lama Temple of the religion of Lamaism.

Day 6 10/18 Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou

Morning flight to Shanghai HU7605 8:35am/10:45am, then take a bus ride to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to the Tiger Hills.

Day 7 10/19 Suzhou
Morning visit the Suzhou Silk factory. Continue the tour with the centuries old Lingering Garden. Afternoon visit the National Embroidery Institute to see the silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Then visit Jinji Lake situated centrally at Suzhou Industrial Park.

Day 8 10/20 Suzhou/Hangzhou

In the morning depart for Hangzhou. Have a boat ride on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas. The centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha.

Day 9 10/21 Hangzhou/Shanghai

Morning excursion to the Longjing Green Tea Plantation. After lunch take a bus riding to Shanghai. The Bund, a famous waterfront park and landmark of the city.

Visit the Pudong New Development District. Continue the way to Shanghai Silk Rug Factory. Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Free time exploration of the old town bazaar.

Day 11 10/23 Shanghai/Beijing/Calgary
You may take the morning flight HU7604 8:30am/10:50am to transit at Beijing then HU7977 at 4:00 pm for Calgary where you will arrive at 1:05 pm on the same day.

With a total of 4403 passports stamped, there was $1,100.750.00 spent in the community in the past 6 weeks!
